Every new year starts optimistically. More so after a large closing in the preceding December. Overall the past two years have been moderately successful. A mix of small leases with a couple of large sales each year. Looking ahead to 2012, we are finalizing the entitlements on the 5-acre truck yard. There is more leasing to be done at the Avalon Distribution Center and the Long Beach Contractors Yard. The new Gardena office is in the center of my old farm area with many customers visiting to get a personal flavor of the market. Our customized parcel mapping program, MAPP, will soon be moving on-line for everyone to use. A Mobile App is in the works. We are also looking outside Los Angeles for deals in our specialty area of infill land and industrial. We will have a New York Brokers License by summer. We expect greater Los Angeles and California to have its share of problems, but smart business people can successfully use this region as a gateway to the world. We hope this includes you. More...
